PRESENTATION FORMATS
Oral Presentation (15 minutes)
This is the standard presentation format. In an oral presentation the presenter delivers their research to their audience verbally, often accompanied by a PowerPoint slideshow. Oral presentations are followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
Poster Presentation (90 minutes)
A poster presentation provides a relaxed presentation atmosphere in which the presenter uses a poster (1800mm high by 900mm wide) to illustrate their research. Presenters will engage with interested participants, providing excellent opportunities for networking, discussion and relationship building.
Virtual Oral Presentation (15 minutes)
Virtual presentations provide authors with an opportunity to share their research with VITAL's broad international online audience, free from the constraints of time, distractions, or travel requirements. Presenters are invited to create a video of their presentation, which will be uploaded to VITAL's official YouTube channel and remain accessible indefinitely. This approach not only offers a significant platform for presenting research but also acts as a practical alternative for delegates who may face financial or political obstacles that prevent them from attending the conference in person. Virtual presenters will have the same publishing opportunities, with their final papers included in the Conference Proceedings.
