Preliminary Round Guidelines
After Registering your team by May 1st, please follow the Preliminary Round Submission Guidelines.

​Preliminary Round Submission (Video and Written Summary)
2. Submit a 5-6 minute video summarizing the content of your presentation by May 31, 2025.

3. Write a 200~300 word summary of the content of your submission in English by May 31, 2025.

VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR THE PRELIMINARY ROUND: 
1. All members of the group should speak in the video and should speak in English. 
2.  The length of the video should be between 5 and 6 minutes. 
3.  The video that your team submits, should be uploaded to Youtube (set the privacy settings to "anyone with the link can see it")
4.  In the
予備審査提出フォーム/ Preliminary Screening Submission Form, include the Youtube link to your video. 
5. Each team member doesn't need to submit the video. Only one video submission per team is necessary. 
6.  When shooting the video, please make sure that your faces are visible when speaking.
7.  Please be careful not to infringe the rights of the author of the photos, logos, music, videos, etc. used in the presentation.
8.  Avoid shooting your video in noisy, dark, and places where your voice echoes. 
9.  Please avoid clothes that are not suitable for presentations such as pajamas and jerseys.
10.  Please be careful not to include too much information. Briefly show you the main points of your presentation and keep within the time limit. Videos longer that 6 minutes will not be considered. 
11. Please pay attention to the volume of your voice when recording, and pay attention to your language and speed.
12. While gestures and body language are important, remember that excessive body language can make a bad impression.
13. Consider the following evaluation criteria when creating your video. 


Evaluation Criteria for Preliminary Screening Submission
Content : 
The video content is interesting and the arguments are based on sufficient research and data. The content is concrete, original and vividly memorable. The audiovisual material is relevant to the presentation and used effectively.

Organization : 
The video consists of an Introduction-Body-Conclusion. The ideas are clearly explained and well-reasoned. The argument is logically consistent from the introduction to the conclusion.


Delivery & Oral Presentation Skills: 
The presenters voices are appropriately loud and they have the ability to engage the listener in terms of inflection and tone of voice. Pronunciation is clear and audible. Effective use of eye contact and body language should be used to convey the content of the message in a way that is easily understood by the audience.


Persuasiveness: 
​
Motivated, enthusiastic and appealing. Persuasive enough to sway the audience and make them want to take immediate action.
